When should I use multiple segments?

Segments are the primary way to broadly group contacts based on interest, messaging type, engagement, etc. In Adaptix, you have the flexibility to create as many segments as you like. When deciding if you should have a single segment or multiple segments, it’s best to review the type of messaging your company will send. 

Using demographics can help you organize and group your contacts in a segment.

  • You can create segments by age, gender, income, etc.

For example, if you have customers that are interested in shoes and others that are interested in hats, you may want to consider having two segments: one for shoes and one for hats. Or if you are sending out company updates and system alerts, you may want to consider having a segment for company updates and another for system alerts.
