A required field is a field or question that must be answered or filled out in your Adaptix account. Required fields must include a value in order to update, create , or store a record in your Adaptix account.
Creating required fields can allow you to collect more information that is essential and beneficial to your marketing strategy.
For example, you can make the field “Email” be a required field in order to store any contact in your Adaptix account. Therefore , if the “Email” field does not have a value in it then the contact will not be able to be created, updated, or stored in your Adaptix account.
How to create a Required Field
- Click the settings icon in your Adaptix account
- Click “Custom Fields”
- Create a new custom field or click on an existing one
- On the editing page of the custom field you will see a box containing a bunch of fields with ‘yes’ or ‘no’ options
- If you want to make a field a required field, go to where it prints “Required” and click on “Yes”. The “Yes” box should turn blue once it is selected.
- Click “Save & Close”
